about me
Iām a nonprofit development leader with over 18 years of professional experience. I specialize in managing high value prospects, mobilizing niche communities, tiered communication strategies, and using evidence-based fundraising practices.
Shalom! I'm Tasha. Born in Chicago, raised in Sarasota, Florida, and now happily at home in Saint Louis, Missouri.
I attended Pine View School in Osprey, Florida, before earning a B.A. in Creative Writing and Religion from Florida State University, graduating magna cum laude. My studies focused on Abrahamic faiths and their influence on foreign policy. I went on to earn an M.A. in Near Eastern & Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, with an emphasis on nuclear policy and transitional justice.
My career began in Jewish communal life, working with youth at several synagogues and growing from counselor and assistant to Director of Youth Engagement at a major Saint Louis congregation. I later served as Director of Programming & Communications, gaining a deep understanding of the inner workings of religious institutions and the strategies that drive effective operations, engagement, and communications.
Today, my work centers on nonprofit development across a range of sectors. I specialize in major and planned giving, high-value prospect management, community mobilization, corporate partnerships, and values-driven fundraising. Over the course of my career, I have helped raise millions of dollars through capital campaigns, crowdfunding initiatives, planned gifts, corporate sponsorships, and other philanthropic strategies.
I believe good fundraising should be both thoughtful and measurable. I use data and empirical research to inform strategy, and when the information I need doesn't exist, I believe in doing the work to get it. That means listening to diverse perspectives, conducting research, and building strategies around evidence rather than assumptions. I'm particularly passionate about mobilizing niche communities, developing meaningful donor relationships, and creating tailored approaches that connect people to causes they care about.
I live intentionally offline and, outside of work, enjoy rowing, reading mystery novels, and visiting museums. My husband and I share a home in Saint Louis with our nephew, two dogs, and an arguably unreasonable number of cats.
